We offer high quality, sturdy single and double kayaks and all the necessary kayaking equipment for rent.

But we provide more than just kayaking equipment with each rental!

We provide you with:

the right kayak for your ability and size. We do our best to provide you with the right kayak for your ability and size then give you a thorough orientation to your kayak and kayaking equipment
a comprehensive safety orientation (each person must learn/demonstrate self rescue procedures)
our exclusive local kayaking route map
route recommendations based on your ability, weather and sea conditions
one water proof dry bag per group for your camera or phone.
assistance with launching
experienced local staff that provide friendly helpful service. All of our staff are experienced kayak guides trained by the Sea Kayaks Guides Alliance of B.C. We have 10 years kayak business experience on Mayne Island and are fully insured.

Our main launch site is located at beautiful Bennett Bay beach, Mayne Island. Once you have made your booking simply meet our staff at least 15 minutes prior to your rental time at Bennett Bay or identified alternate location.

Alternate locations (when conditions at Bennett Bay are unsuitable) are Piggott Bay and Horton Bay.

Our kayaking season is from April 22 – October 10

Spring/Fall (April, May, June, September, October)

Open Wednesday – Sunday 10am – 6pm (closed Monday and Tuesday)

Summer (July 1 – September 5)

Open 7 days a week 10am -6pm

Our rental operation is weather dependent. We will close when weather conditions are unsuitable for safe kayaking.

Bookings are highly recommended!

To make a booking or for more information simply call us during business hours @ 250-539-0864, then meet our staff at least 15 minutes before your rental time at Bennett Bay beach or alternate location to complete payment and to read and sign our rental agreement and waiver.
